The silversmith Robbe & Berking has a long history extending back to 1874. From one generation to the next, the family firm has continually refined and perfected its craftsmanship and knowledge of the art of silversmithing. Many of the original skills of the master craftsmen have been retained in the current collection. Cutlery and dinnerware with the Robbe & Berking logo are highly valued by experts. Collectors throughout the world regard them as unparalleled masterpieces of the art of silversmithing.

Only the highest grade of silver is accepted for the Robbe & Berking collection: 925 pure silver. Even the silver-plated cutlery is not covered with conventional 90-gram silver leaf, but instead with high-quality 150-gram solid silver leaf. That is indicated by the mammoth trademark on the rear face of the cutlery.
